The magic of medicinal plants

Program

This educational programme begins with a visit of the outside area of the educational farm, during which participants are told about the company’s history: how it was born and how we selected which medicinal plants, trees and bushes to cultivate.

In particular, we will visit the botanical garden, which boasts over 45 different species of medicinal plants. Inside the botanical garden, the children will be taken on a magical journey set in ancient times, to discover the uses that our grandparents had for the same medicinal plants and to deduce their secrets, which they passed down over time. The key of the future will re-open the magic door to get back in the present and find out how the company, San Pio X, uses medicinal plants.

We will then go into the laboratory, in which the children will be able to realise their own perfumed sachets, infusions and soaps using the aromas and essences that they have learnt about and gotten to know during the educational course.

After a well-deserved lunch break, the little guests will be free to play in the farm’s garden, to continue to explore the magic of medicinal herbs!
